Huskies pick up first win, are 1-0 in conference

Hamilton Heights got its first win of the season on Friday, and it was a perfect way to start conference play.
The Huskies played a strong first half, and that carried them to a 36-0 win over Northwestern at the Heights stadium. It was the Huskies’ first Hoosier Conference East Division game of the season.
Heights scored two touchdowns in the first quarter, with Camron Knott taking an eight-yard pass from Isaac Wilson into the end zone, then Colin Denham ran the ball in from five yards.
The Huskies added three more scores in the second quarter, all in different ways. Blake Webel ran the ball in from three yards out, Brent Pennington caught a nine-yard TD pass from Wilson, and Isaac Tuma grabbed an interception and took it 48 yards to the end zone.
Michael Lecher finished the scoring in the third quarter with a 35-yard field goal. He also kicked three extra points.
Wilson had a nice night passing, completing 11 of 22 throws for 208 yards. Tuma had the most receptions with five, for 98 yards. Deshawn King led the rushing with 29 yards.
Heights is 1-3 overall and continues conference play next week at Western.
