Mark Hinton has announced his candidacy for the Democrat nomination for Indiana House District 39 representing Carmel. Mark is committed to putting families and the interests of Indiana’s citizens first.

“I am running to represent the citizens of District 39 and bring an approach to state government that will address issues proactively, and not wait until they explode out of hand, in order to effectively use our tax dollars,” said Hinton. “I believe we must protect public education, address our senior’s growing needs, and develop an effective long-term infrastructure plan. The citizens deserve transparent government and my top priorities will be improving their quality of life, protecting our natural resources, and planning for our future. “

Hinton was the Democratic nominee for Indiana District 39 in 2018 and the race was one of the biggest surprises of the general election. The race was one of the closest in the state, and shapes up to be extremely competitive again in 2020. He is a lifelong Hoosier and a graduate of Purdue University.
