New physician-supervised weight loss center opening in Noblesville

Medi-Weightloss®, a provider of individualized physician-supervised weight loss programs, recently announced the opening of its first treatment center in Indiana. The Noblesville/Fishers treatment center at 14350 Mundy Drive, Noblesville, will offer physician-supervised weight loss programs for adults, adolescents and people with diabetes.

Each weight loss program is based on individual health and lifestyle evaluations including a comprehensive review of prior medical history. Licensed physicians then develop dietary and nutritional guidelines and exercise plans to achieve the optimal level of convenience, comfort and results for each patient.

“One out of three adult Hoosiers have obesity. We have a great sense of purpose as we help central Indiana residents address this chronic, progressive disease,” said John Baranowski, co-owner of Medi-Weightloss Noblesville/Fishers. “I’m excited about how we can help so many people in our state who have become concerned about their weight and the impact their weight has on their health.”

Clinical studies have shown that patients are more likely to maintain a healthy weight when good nutrition, physical activity and behavior modification are each addressed in a comprehensive weight loss plan. Medi-Weightloss® programs begin with in-depth patient evaluations to measure body mass index (BMI) and screen for metabolic syndromes and high blood pressure. Based on a patient’s goals and medical history, the Medi-Weightloss® team of medical experts then outlines a specific plan that includes nutrition, exercise, medication and supplementation plans along with accountability and education protocols to help patients achieve their weight loss goals. Program participants are also educated and motivated when they meet with their provider each week to assess results and continuously fine tune their plan as needed.

“I’m looking forward to celebrating along with our patients as they achieve their personal lifestyle goals,” said Margaret Baranowski, co-owner of the Medi-Weightloss® Noblesville/Fishers location. “Patients might be preparing for a wedding, post-partum, adjusting to menopause or empty nester status.  Both men and women cite nutritional guidance, behavioral change and healthcare provider recommendations as reasons for seeking treatment with Medi-Weightloss. Our mission is to change peoples’ lives by offering individualized nutrition and wellness plans to lose weight and keep it off.”
