Noblesville Schools to honor 25 distinguished Noble Millers

Noblesville Schools announced Monday that it will select and honor 25 distinguished “Noble Millers” as part of the year-long 150th anniversary celebration, which will kick off later this week.

Noble Millers will have demonstrated exceptional service, support, accomplishments or contributions to Noblesville Schools, and will be selected by a committee of district leaders from nominations made by the community.

Once selected, Noble Millers will be recognized publicly and honored at the Feb. 21, 2020 Miller-Palooza Anniversary Extravaganza hosted by the Noblesville Schools Education Foundation.

To be considered for selection, nominees must have positively impacted Noblesville Schools and be at least 18 years of age.

The selection committee will take note of NHS graduates and/or current or former district employees, but these criteria are not required for nomination or selection.

Self-nominations, nominations of current students, or posthumous nominations will not be accepted.

There are no restrictions on the number of nominations any one person may submit.

Nominations for Noble Millers will be accepted through Nov. 1, and community members may submit a nomination at noblesvilleschools.org/150 or by completing a paper nomination form. Paper nominations may be picked up at (and returned to) the Noblesville Schools Educational Services Center, 18025 River Road, Noblesville, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Noblesville Schools announced earlier this year that it has partnered with multiple community organizations, including anniversary presenting sponsor Church Church Hittle + Antrim, to launch a year-long celebration throughout Noblesville during the 2019-20 school year in commemoration of the district’s sesquicentennial.

The celebration is expected to include themed events across the community, anniversary dedications, historical exhibits, an anniversary song, throwback spirit wear, a commemorative coffee table book, product tie-ins at local businesses and more.

For more information regarding the anniversary celebration, residents are encouraged to visit noblesvilleschools.org/150, where content will be updated throughout the year.
