Two Noblesville fires end without injuries

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Monday, the Noblesville Fire Department (NFD) responded to a garage fire off of Cherry Street.

Responding units were able to see a large column of black smoke from several blocks away. The first units to arrive encountered a detached garage on fire. Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control, limiting the damage to the garage.

There were no injuries to civilians, firefighters or pets. The resulting investigation found the fire was caused by discarded fireworks.

NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Department. NFD would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to ensure fireworks and hot ash are completely cooled before discarding them.

Restaurant Fire

Shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, NFD responded to a possible structure fire at Stone Creek Dining Company.

The first units encountered light smoke throughout the building. The fire was located behind the hood unit in the kitchen and crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The damage was limited to the area immediately around the hood unit.

NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Department, Hamilton Town Center Security, Fishers Fire Department and Wayne Township Fire Department.
