Blackhawks fall to Frontier in Sectional 54 final

The Sheridan softball team finished its season in the championship game of Sectional 54 at Rossville on Thursday, falling to Frontier 10-0 in six innings.
The Falcons held the Blackhawks to just one hit, a third-inning single by Bre Bouse.
“They’re a very talented team,” said Blackhawks coach Andi Malcolm. “They’re strong all the way through that lineup. I thought we showed a lot of resilience and we persevered through some tough innings and they never gave up. So I look forward to coming back next year and trying again. We’re going to keep trying.”
Addyson Ream pitched four and two-thirds innings, tossing five strikeouts.
Sheridan finished its season 11-8, which included tying for the championship in the Hoosier Heartland Conference.
