The City of Westfield, through its Westfield Welcome initiative, is hosting a 5K, 10K, half marathon and kids fun run on Memorial Day at the Grand Park Sports Campus.
Participants will run on the extensive trail system winding around the Grand Park Sports Campus and the half marathon will feature a portion of the Monon Trail. Runners are encouraged to stay on the sports campus after the race for a Memorial Day Ceremony at 9:30 a.m. with Westfield Mayor Andy Cook and local veteran organizations.
Online registration is still open with current prices at $30 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K and $50 for the half marathon. There is no cost to participate in the kids fun run. 2019 Grand Run registration will include a T-shirt, finisher’s medal, post-race snacks and drinks, a timed route and more.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit two Indianapolis veteran organizations: Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation, Inc. (HVAF) and Operation: Job Ready Veterans.
