’Tis the season to come together, SERVE Noblesville

SERVE Noblesville is more than a four-day volunteer blitz each June — it is a way to connect compassionate neighbors and provide a place where residents can join forces and foster community pride.

That’s why this year, SERVE Noblesville is kicking off the summer volunteer season by inviting you to join its new community-wide “Come Together” campaign, which runs May 24 to 27.

The “Come Together” campaign is an organic community effort that encourages everyone to connect with their neighbors through a variety of grassroots activities designed to inspire belonging and respect for one another.

Getting involved is simple.  Pick an event from the list of suggestions at servenoblesville.com or come up with your own. Second, select a day and time from Friday, May 24 to Monday, May 27 to do what you selected. Next, do it.

Finally, share pictures and videos, or tell SERVE Noblesville about your event on Facebook or Instagram. Be sure to use #cometogether19 when sharing. It will be a great way to see all the inspiring things the community is doing to Come Together.

That weekend is also the first chance to register for SERVE Noblesville, scheduled for June 26 to 29. About 700 volunteers are needed to work on more than 60 service projects that improve the community. Sign up starting May 24 at servenoblesville.com.

Organizers also are seeking sponsors to cover project costs, which average about $250 each. Visit www.servenoblesville.com/partners or email servenoblesville@gmail.com to offer support.

Mark your calendar now for the second annual Noblesville Cultural Celebration to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 28 on the Courthouse Square. Presented in partnership with the Noblesville Diversity Coalition, the Cultural Celebration features more than 20 booths highlighting food, music and other traditions from all over the world that represent the diversity of neighbors in Noblesville.
