Carmel bounced back from its first loss of the season in impressive fashion, sailing past Anderson 58-35 Tuesday at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
The Class 4A No. 2 Greyhounds were in control early, leading 13-4 after the first quarter. Carmel then held a 22-11 advantage at halftime, and continued to increase its lead in the second half. The ‘Hounds outscored the Indians in each of the four quarters.
Andrew Owens led the scoring with 18 points, while freshman Peter Suder added 10, making all five of his field goal attempts. John Michael Mulloy had an outstanding game, with nine rebounds, eight assists, seven points and two blocked shots.
Carmel is 12-1 and hosts Ben Davis Friday in a Metropolitan Conference game.
