Members of the Noblesville Fire Department, Mayor John Ditslear, Deputy Mayor Steve Cooke, members of the Noblesville Common Council, Fire Department Merit Commission, and other guests gathered for the 5th Annual Noblesville Firefighters Awards and Recognition Banquet. Several members of the department were recognized for their service to the community, as well as outstanding performance while on the job.
The event was supported through contributions from generous businesses including title sponsor Riverview Health. Additional sponsors include Harbour Trees Beach Club, Hare Chevrolet, Motorola, Nationwide Retirement Solutions, PennCare, Firefighter’s Credit Union, and Public Safety Medical Services.

Appointments to Noblesville Fire Department
Probationary Firefighters Seth Jones and Bernie Dockemeyer were recognized for their 2016 appointment to NFD.
2016 Promotions
Lieutenant Uriah Eddingfield was recognized for his selection as Division Chief of Training and Safety. Engineer Josh Brumbaugh and Division Chief Darrel Cross obtained the merit rank of Lieutenant. Firefighters Sam Clausen, Spencer Morris, Eric Harris, and Jack Swift were recognized for their promotions to the merit rank of Engineer.
2016 Retirements
Firefighter/Paramedic Mike Piguet, Engineer Jerry Reighley. Engineer Robin Purcell, Engineer Phil Miller and Engineer Nick Snyder.
Letters of Commendation
Engineers Brandon Marcum, Brian Marks and Rob Wonnell each received letters of commendation for the actions, as did, Lieutenant Jim Trietsch, Firefighter/Paramedics Laura Piguet and Dave Weinrich and Firefighter Jim Butts.
