GriefShare, DivorceCare seminars beginning soon

Have you lost a loved one or know someone that will find it difficult to face each day? Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville announces the beginning of the next GriefShare sessions open to the community.

GriefShare weekly sessions will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sundays, beginning Sunday, Jan. 13. Participants are invited to join anytime during the 14 weeks of meetings. A one-time registration fee of $20 is appreciated. Scholarships are available.

GriefShare is a 14-week non-denominational Christ-centered program focusing on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was seen on the DVD. Daily work in the GriefShare workbook also helps one look thoughtfully at one’s own grief experience and helps in the healing process.

The GriefShare group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives. They understand how you feel because they’ve been in the same place. They will walk with you through grief toward healing and hope for the future.

DivorceCare

Unless you’ve been there, it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. That’s why many of your friends and family don’t fully understand what you are going through and don’t know how best to help. The DivroceCare team does. All of the facilitators have experienced divorce and are here to listen and help you through this difficult time.

DivorceCare is a helpful, encouraging 13-week seminar for people working through a separation or divorce. The sessions will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Friday, Jan. 11 in the Parlor at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville.

You are welcome to begin attending the DivorceCare group at any point during the meeting schedule. Each session is self-contained, so you do not need to attend in sequence.

A one-time registration fee of $15 is requested, but scholarships are available. Free childcare (through age 10) is available with adult registration.

All are welcome to join this support group which features practical suggestions and reassurance through video interviews with nationally known experts. Each session offers a time for discussion and sharing during each meeting, giving everyone a new sense of community and support.
