Hamilton County Parks and Recreation (HCPR) invites residents to participate in a community survey as the department begins developing its next five-year master plan. The survey will gather public feedback to help guide future priorities, park improvements, recreational opportunities, and investments in the county’s park system.
The master plan will help HCPR evaluate current facilities and programs, identify community needs, and establish goals for the next five years. Feedback from residents will be an important part of the planning process, helping the department understand what is working well and where additional opportunities exist.

“Our parks serve people in different ways, whether they visit to hike a trail, attend a program, spend time with family, or connect with nature,” HCPR Director Chris Stice said. “This survey is an opportunity for residents to share what matters to them and help us make informed decisions about the future of our park system. We want our plans to reflect the needs and interests of the community we serve.”
HCPR manages 21 park properties with more than 1,800 acres, 26 miles of trails, and a variety of recreational, educational, and nature-based experiences. The department also works to preserve natural areas and provide opportunities for residents and visitors to connect with Hamilton County’s history and environment.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the survey and share their perspectives. Community feedback will help inform the department’s long-term planning and support decisions about how parks, programs, facilities, and resources are prioritized in the years ahead.
