Republicans reach over 1M voters

Republican volunteers from all across the Hoosier state took to the streets this past Saturday as part of the Republican National Committee and the Indiana GOP’s National Day of Action (NDOA). During this NDOA, dubbed as “Braun Blitz,” over 200 volunteers contacted nearly 40,000 voters across Indiana. After this weekend’s NDOA, this brings the total number of voter contacts in Indiana to over 1.2 million.

“When it comes to this year’s elections, people across the country are watching Indiana,” said Kyle Hupfer, chairman of the Indiana Republican Party. “With our vote, Hoosiers will likely determine control of the U.S. Senate – and the direction of our country. This weekend, our Republican team proved the big impact this year’s unprecedented ground game can have in our state, as we work to elect Mike Braun and send President Donald Trump another reinforcement in the Senate.”

“Our success this National Day of Action proves yet again that our top-notch ground game is unstoppable,” said Michael Joyce, Indiana and Michigan Communications Director for the Republican National Committee. “It’s only mid-September, and we’ve already surpassed one million voter contacts this cycle, spreading the message about our great slate of Republican candidates to voters across the state. The work we’re doing on the ground paired with the coordination between the RNC, Indiana GOP and our candidates is unprecedented.”

The National Day of Action is a massive grassroots effort where Republican volunteers across the country knock on doors and talk to voters in a coordinated effort to elect Republicans up and down the ballot. This is designed to not only grow the party’s volunteer base, but also identify voters who can be motivated to head to the polls in November.

Here in Indiana, Republican candidates and volunteers participated in over 25 door-knocking events across the state, made phone calls and helped recruit over 50 new volunteers on Saturday’s NDOA.

In Hamilton County, Rep. Susan Brooks attended the NDOA to get Indiana’s Republican Leadership Initiative fellows and volunteers enthusiastic before she and the team headed out into the field. Republicans saw large amounts of excitement at doors and over the phones, from Republicans at the Indiana Statehouse to Republicans and President Trump in Washington.

“Voters across Indiana are enthusiastic about strong Republican leadership and are happy with the direction we’re headed,” said Joyce. “The Republican National Committee and the Indiana GOP are organized, energized and ready to defy history this November.”
