Editor’s note: The following message was written by Noblesville High School Athletic Director Leah Wooldridge regarding the boys basketball program.

I am excited to share an important update regarding the future of Noblesville Boys Basketball as we prepare for the 2026-2027 season!

When the head coaching position became available, we recognized the challenges presented by the timing and the season quickly approaching. However, we were committed to taking a thoughtful approach, exploring our options, and making a decision that would best serve our student-athletes and the future of our program.

After carefully reviewing our applicants and evaluating the experience, leadership, and stability already present within our program, we are excited to announce that Coach Matt Fine will serve as the Interim Head Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 season!

Coach Fine brings years of successful head coaching experience and, just as importantly, a deep understanding of Noblesville basketball. Over the past seven years, he has been an integral part of our program, building relationships with our players, understanding our expectations, and contributing to the culture we want our student-athletes to experience. His leadership, familiarity with our program, and commitment to our players provide a strong foundation as we move forward.

Our focus is on moving forward together. We want our players to feel supported, our coaches to feel empowered, and our families to have confidence in the leadership guiding our program. We believe Coach Fine and our current staff are well-positioned to provide the consistency, stability, and direction our student-athletes need to prepare for a successful season.

At the conclusion of the season, we will communicate with families regarding the next steps in determining the long-term future of Miller Basketball. Until then, our priority is clear: allowing our players and coaches to focus on the season ahead, building relationships, competing together, and making the most of the opportunity in front of them. We want our student-athletes thinking about their teammates, their growth, and what they can accomplish together – not what may happen after the season.

We are excited about the leadership in place, the commitment of our coaching staff, and the opportunity ahead for Miller Basketball. Thank you for your continued support of Noblesville Athletics and, most importantly, for the trust you place in us to provide a positive and meaningful experience for our student-athletes.
