Cook
The Hamilton County Professional Fire Fighters Local 4416 has endorsed Robyn Cook for re-election as Jackson Township Trustee in the November general election.
In its endorsement letter, the organization stated that Cook is well qualified to continue serving as trustee and that Jackson Township residents would be well served by having her remain in office. The endorsement came directly from a vote of Local 4416 members.
Fire protection is one of the statutory responsibilities of the Jackson Township Trustee, making the endorsement especially meaningful to Cook, who has worked closely with Jackson Township’s professional firefighters since taking office in January 2019.
During Cook’s tenure as trustee, Jackson Township entered into its first collective bargaining agreement with its professional firefighters – the first such agreement in Hamilton County. Cook said the agreement reflected a shared commitment to supporting firefighters while providing dependable fire and emergency services to Jackson Township residents.
“Our firefighters are the helpers who come running on someone’s worst day,” Cook said. “They take care of our community when people need them most, and I have tremendous respect for the work they do. I’m proud of the relationship we’ve built over the years. Having the support of the men and women I work with every day, and firefighters throughout Hamilton County, means a great deal to me.”
