Meet the Ghosts of Westfield’s Workforce Past, Present & Yet to Come

The Westfield Chamber invites business leaders, community members, and guests to attend the October Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, at The Bridgewater Club, 3535 E. 161^st St.

Mike Thibideau, who serves as the President & CEO of the Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation (d.b.a. Invest Hamilton County) will serve as the guest speaker. In his role, he manages workforce development, talent attraction, and quality-of-life initiatives throughout Hamilton County.

Since 2001, the number of jobs in Hamilton County has more than doubled, and Westfield has added more than 19,000 residents since 2020 alone. The work people do here, the skills employers pay for, and the competition for talent have changed with that growth, often in ways nobody noticed happening. In the spirit of Dickens, Thibideau brings three ghosts to the Westfield Chamber.

The Ghost of Workforce Past shows how 25 years quietly rewrote the jobs of Central Indiana. The Ghost of Workforce Yet to Come looks at what’s headed for Westfield businesses and what you can still change.
