Cronin honored with Favorite Teacher Award

Congratulations to Sheridan Middle/High School band teacher Mr. Patrick Cronin, who was recently selected as the recipient of a Favorite Teacher Award sponsored by Dr. Volovic with Volovic Orthodontics in Westfield.

Approximately 200 to 300 student patients were invited to nominate a teacher who has made a positive impact on their lives. Mr. Cronin was chosen as the favorite teacher among the nominations. The SMS eighth-grade student who nominated Mr. Cronin simply described him as a “cool teacher.” The student’s family also shared wonderful things about Mr. Cronin and the positive impact he has on students.

As part of the award, Dr. Volovic presented Mr. Cronin with several goodies and an Amazon gift card. The student will also receive a gift card as a thank-you for submitting the winning nomination.

Sheridan Community Schools is incredibly grateful for local businesses and community members who support both students and educators. Partnerships like this provide meaningful opportunities to recognize the educators who make a difference every day.
