September is Library Card Sign-up Month

WWPL encourages residents to discover more with a library card

The Westfield Washington Public Library (WWPL) is celebrating Library Card Sign-up Month. This year’s theme, “A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes,” highlights the variety of resources and experiences libraries provide for people of all ages and interests.

In addition to books, cardholders can borrow eBooks and audiobooks, access online learning and research tools, check out items from the Library of Things, and participate in programs for children, teens, and adults.

WWPL’s Makerspace also gives patrons access to creative tools and technology, with opportunities for 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, access to a fully equipped recording studio, and more.

“A library card gives you access to resources you can use at every stage of life,” WWPL Executive Director Sheryl Sollars said. “There’s always something new to discover, and we want our community to make the most of everything available to them.”

WWPL is also offering a special perk during September. New cardholders can receive a 3D-printed travel library card protector stamped with “09/26,” while supplies last. Library cards are free for eligible residents. For more information, visit wwpl.lib.in.us.
