The Reporter’s own Janet Hart Leonard took to the flooded streets on Saturday, Aug. 15, to see what a 100-year flood has done to her hometown. No living resident of Noblesville has ever seen anything like this. God willing, they never will again. Janet’s photos from Federal Hill Commons of both Kroger and Riverview Health (below left and right) tell most of the tale on their own.
While that was the go-to site for pictures this weekend, the view of Riverside Cemetery (above left) is equally impactful. As you can also see (above right) Potter’s Bridge did survive, though it will not be open again until it is 100 percent safe.
