This is the last year the Colts will have training camp at Droplight Grand Park. Next season, the Colts will have training camp at their facility, the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center.
Colts owner and CEO Carlie Irsay-Gordon shared what went into the decision.
“It was a tough decision to come to because as I said, Grand Park has been a great host,” Irsay-Gordon said. “But ultimately, I think we have to look at our team, and as training camps evolved over the years – it wasn’t a financial decision, it was really more about the operational efficiency and making sure our team can prepare to perform on game day and that was just the best decision. But I also want to add that our fans and having them be able to experience what they’re experiencing here will remain a priority, and we just have to figure that out. But it’s definitely a priority for us.”
The Colts held training camp at Droplight Grand Park for eight years.
