Indiana Orthopedic Institute (IOI) announces that board-certified anesthesiologist Dr. Maggie Lasley, who specializes in anesthesia for orthopedic patients, will join the practice this September at its flagship Noblesville surgery center and clinic.

Dr. Lasley is a distinguished anesthesiologist with a strong clinical focus in advanced regional anesthesia and perioperative pain management, both of which are crucial elements of care for IOI’s highly coordinated model for outpatient orthopedic surgery.

IOI’s in-house anesthesia team oversees the perioperative clinic, so it is involved with patient care starting with pre-surgery consultations. This close coordination helps patients arrive for surgery fully prepared, experience less post-op pain, and recover comfortably at home.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Lasley to IOI,” said Dr. Michael Meneghini, CEO and founder IOI. “We have anesthesia in-house at IOI because it is an important aspect of the care we provide in preparing patients for surgery, controlling their pain, and setting them up for a smooth recovery.”

She will work alongside Director of Anesthesia Dr. Grant Carson as part of IOI’s integrated, in-house anesthesia team that works closely with surgeons, other care providers and patients at IOI’s growing Noblesville facility.

Dr. Lasley has served as a Partner and Regional Anesthesia Service Line Leader at Southeast Anesthesiologists since 2016, where she has led the development and delivery of advanced regional anesthesia programs. Dr. Lasley has served in multiple leadership roles and currently is the Medical Director of Anesthesia at Franciscan Health Orthopedic Hospital and Franciscan Health Orthopedic Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Dr. Lasley completed her anesthesiology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she also earned her medical degree.

She previously held faculty roles within Indiana University Health, where she contributed to acute pain services, resident education, and clinical program development.

Dr. Lasley is also active in professional societies including the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia.
