Mellencougar brought the sounds of John Mellencamp to Cool Creek Park for an evening full of classic hits and crowd favorites as Hamilton County Parks celebrated America 250. Fans sang along to songs like “Hurt So Good,” “Jack and Diane,” “Small Town,” “Pink Houses,” and “R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.,” while the band’s tribute to Tom Petty with “American Girl” and “I Won’t Back Down” was another highlight of the night.
The patriotic celebration, combined with great music, had the crowd dancing, singing, and enjoying another memorable evening in the Cool Creek Summer Concert Series.
The 2026 Cool Creek Summer Concert Series continues on Friday, July 24, with Cornfield Mafia. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children 12 and under are free. Gates open at 6 p.m., and music begins at 7 p.m. For tickets and concert information, visit myhamiltoncountyparks.com.
