Westfield’s Marla Ailor earns Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk status

The Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers (ILMCT) has announced that Westfield Clerk-Treasurer Marla Ailor has been named an Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk (IAMC), which is an educational certification developed by the ILMCT.

The certification and educational programs were established with the State Board of Accounts (SBOA), Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF), and other state partners.

The ILMCT education programs are accredited by Ball State University. The educational guidelines are by International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) and Association of Public Treasurers of U.S. and Canada (APT) standards.

The IAMC certification application is reviewed by two ILMCT Certification Co-chairs.

To become an IAMC you must document:

  • Education and Training
  • Experience
  • Two-years ILMCT membership
  • Attend two SBOA Schools
  • Attend two fall ILMCT District Meetings and SBOA State called meetings
