Each year on the second Saturday in May – this year, May 9 – letter carriers across the country collect non-perishable food donations for local pantries as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive: the largest one-day food drive in the nation since its launch in 1993.
Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank needs your help to collect the donated food from local post offices. Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts, and you can select the location where you’d like to volunteer. It can be a great way to fill end-of-year volunteer hour requirements.
Families, groups, or teams are welcome as volunteers. However, volunteers must be over 16 years old to come without a parent or responsible adult and must bring a waiver signed by a parent. Other volunteers will be required to sign waivers when they come to volunteer.
The need is great, but helping is simple. Click here to sign up.
