Hamilton County Federation of Democratic Women seeks members

Submitted by Hamilton County Democratic Party

Democratic women from across Hamilton County are invited to attend the inaugural meeting of the Hamilton County Federation of Democratic Women (HCFDW) at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at Eller House, 7050 E. 116th St., Fishers.

The meeting marks the launch of a new caucus dedicated to educating, energizing, and empowering Democratic women while expanding civic engagement and leadership opportunities across the county.

Organizers say the moment presents a unique opportunity for local Democratic women to get in on the ground floor of a new group and help shape its direction, priorities, and impact from the very beginning.

As Democratic women across Indiana mobilize ahead of an important election cycle, the HCFDW aims to connect women who want to become more involved in local politics, support Democratic candidates, and build a stronger pipeline of women leaders in the party and public office.

“Women are the backbone of our families, communities, schools, and corporations,” Jessica Irvine said. “It’s time we made a concerted effort to ensure civic engagement has not only their input, but their strategic direction.”

All Democratic women in Hamilton County, whether longtime volunteers, new activists, or those simply interested in learning more, are encouraged to attend, meet fellow community members, and help build this new organization together.
