Springtime is rolling into Noblesville, and the Nickel Plate Express is inviting families to celebrate the season with its annual Easter Express train rides.
Departing from Hobbs Station in Forest Park, the Easter Express offers a one-hour roundtrip ride aboard historic 1950s railcars filled with Easter-themed fun. This year, guests will help Farmer Matt solve a festive mystery as he searches for his missing Easter eggs along the rails.
During the ride, families will enjoy interactive storytelling, sweet treats, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Nickel Plate Heritage Railroad is partnering with Headquarters HQ to bring the best bunny around on board for this years’ experience. Children will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny, take photos and receive a treat, making it a memorable outing for younger guests.
“We love bringing families together for simple, joyful experiences,” Nickel Plate Heritage Railroad Executive Director Emily Reynolds said. “The Easter Express is all about creating moments that families can share and remember long after the ride is over.”
Rides are scheduled for March 28, March 29, and April 4, with multiple departure times each day. Advance booking is recommended as many departures sell out, though private caboose rentals are still available for families looking to make the experience extra special.
The Easter Express is fun for all ages, with tickets starting at $28. Children under 3 may ride free on an adult’s lap.
Nickel Plate Heritage Railroad offers train and railbike excursions throughout the year, with spring rides like Easter Express, Fiesta on the Rails, and Agave Express helping kick off the season.
