Central Indiana Chick-fil-A restaurants presented nonprofit Foster Success with $20,000. The money was raised during a fundraising campaign late last year at 22 participating restaurants.

A portion of the proceeds from every Chocolate Chunk Cookie and Chocolate Fudge Brownie sold at participating locations during October 2025 will ensure teens and young adults transitioning out of foster care have the resources, support, and encouragement they need to thrive.

“Hoosiers stepped up to support the young people we work with by buying a sweet treat at the 22 central Indiana Chick-fil-A locations,” Foster Success Chief Development and Communications Officer Travis Tester said. “It is so important to organizations like ours to have corporate partners, like Chick-fil-A who are committed to giving back to the communities they serve. We are grateful to the Chick-fil-A Operators who chose Foster Success and to everyone who bought a cookie or brownie for supporting this vulnerable and overlooked population at a critical point in their lives.”

Chick-fil-A presented the check during Foster Success’s Works Wonders® program graduation.

The Works Wonders® Workforce Readiness program provides job readiness skill building for teens and young adults (ages 18 to 25) who have experienced foster care. Through the program, young professionals are supported in discovering and pursuing career pathways for meaningful employment. Foster Success engages with Central Indiana employers to engage and provide internships and externships with program participants throughout the program.

Works Wonders® involves a rigorous combination of a 16-hour job readiness skill-building class, followed by six career coaching appointments for each participant to receive personalized support in the pursuit of their career goals.

“At Chick-fil-A®, we believe in serving more than just chicken; we believe in serving the people in our communities,” Chick-fil-A West Carmel Owner-Operator Evan Williamson said. “We are so happy to serve up a brighter future to the young people that Foster Success supports and thank all Hoosiers who helped make this donation possible.”
