Indiana lawmakers have passed a bill that would ban students from using cellphones during the school day.
The bill is now heading to Gov. Mike Braun’s desk.
As of right now, students are not allowed to use phones during instructional time. This bill would expand that to the entire school day.
Lawmakers say there are exceptions built into the bill for students with special needs.
