Lauren Cole has officially announced her candidacy for the Indiana House of Representatives, District 37, running as a Democrat to bring transparency, accountability, and opportunity back to everyday Hoosiers.
Cole, a Senior Coordinator in Medical Affairs at LabCorp Biopharma, is running to represent working families who feel left behind by a system that too often prioritizes special interests over the needs of local communities.
“I believe government should be a window, not a black box,” Cole said. “People deserve to know how decisions are made, where their tax dollars go, and how policies impact their daily lives. This campaign is about bringing the power back to the people where it belongs.”
Cole’s campaign is focused on strengthening public education, supporting working families, and increasing transparency in state government. She has spoken out about the impact of underfunded public schools and believes Indiana can build a system where every child has access to a high-quality education without families being forced to choose between affordability and opportunity.
“As someone who works in healthcare and sees the real-world effects of policy decisions, I know how important it is to invest in our communities,” Cole said. “We can build a stronger Indiana by supporting our public schools, protecting workers, and making government more open and accountable.”
Cole is a first-time candidate who says her campaign is rooted in listening to voters and giving a voice to those who feel ignored by the political system.
“I’m not running to represent the powerful,” she said. “I’m running to represent the people who work hard every day and just want a fair shot.”
