July 20, 1944 – February 4, 2026
Nancy Jean Campbell, 81, Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Harbour Manor Care Center. She was born on July 20, 1944, to David Tomer Jr. and Thelma Jordan Tomer in Temple, Texas.
Nancy was an elementary school teacher, hairdresser, and two-time breast cancer survivor. She loved scrapbooking and making crafts. Her artistic eye found the beauty in not just overlooked treasures, but also in people.
Nancy married the love of her life, Neal Campbell, on October 26, 1962. They raised their four beautiful children in Redondo Beach, Calif. Their doors were always open to anyone needing love, comfort, and a place to stay.
After retiring, Nancy and Neal served as missionaries for one-and-a-half years in Houston, Texas, on behalf of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The two sweethearts then moved to Nauvoo, Ill., to be close to their beloved grandchildren. With her warm personality, she made many lifelong friends in each place she called home.
She is survived by her steadfast husband, Neal Campbell, and her loyal daughter, Christi (Michael) Cluff; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three children-in-law. She will be loved and remembered by countless friends.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was welcomed into the afterlife by her son, David W. Campbell; her daughters, Rebecca LeeAnn Campbell and Bethany Lynette Mowrey; and her grandbabies, Bo and Samuel Lopez.
