No arrests have been made, but Westfield Police Department investigators on Monday were checking video after several separate fights on Sunday afternoon during kids’ 7-on-7 football events at Grand Park Sports Campus.

Westfield police sent around 3:20 p.m. Sunday to a fight in progress at the Grand Park Events Center, which has indoor sports surfaces.

Assistant Police Chief Billy J. Adams told News 8 by email that officers arrived to find the fights in progress throughout the events center. The people involved dispersed as police units arrived at the location, located off East 191st Street about a mile west of the U.S. 31 interchange.

Medics treated a man for injuries. He signed a medical release and was not transported to a hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Adams said in the email, “No arrests have been made at this time, however it is an open investigation as we are reviewing video and attempting to identify individuals involved.”
