Last weekend, after visiting the Carmel Fire Department’s S.A.F.E. House, friends of The Reporter stopped by Grindstone on the Monon, 1740 Wheeler Road, Westfield, for dinner and the opportunity to reflect on our S.A.F.E. visit.
Our bartender, Kyle Payne, was working through his very first week. He not only did a fine job of dealing with our friendly banter, but he made our publisher the second-best Vesper cocktail he’s ever had. The Vesper has a rather demanding recipe that few people can get right.
We are confident even 007 would have approved of yours, Mr. Payne (a name that, upon reflection, should belong to a Bond villain).
