The Indiana Family Institute (IFI) recently honored its donors with a luncheon at Aspasia Coffee and Bake Shop, 3091 U.S. 421, Zionsville.
IFI opened its doors in 1990 as a nonpartisan public education research organization. IFI consists of professional staff, a board of directors consisting of state business and community leaders, and numerous volunteers. The organization works in association with over 40 other family policy councils across the nation – as well as Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council, and Alliance Defending Freedom – with the vast majority of their work and efforts centered on public policy, research, and education regarding the health and wellbeing of all Hoosier families.
IFI believes firmly that the family is a key institution of society and that the overall health of any city, state, region, or nation is largely determined by the health of its bedrock institution. An already large and growing body of published peer-reviewed social science research confirms this age-old wisdom that traces its history back to Aristotle, the Hebrew scriptures, and beyond.
As such, IFI is committed to strengthening and improving the marriage and families of all Hoosiers and seeks to partner with other organizations, groups, and individuals who share that same great mission.
IFI also supports the Hoosier Leadership Series, which disciples Hoosier leaders throughout pillars of cultural influence so that they can take their faith and apply it effectively within the professional settings God has placed them in and within their local communities. It sponsors a trip each year to Washington, D.C. to meet with the Senators and legislators of Indiana.
IFI also supports the Five Freedoms Project protecting the First Amendment rights of Hoosier citizens as they attempt to live out their faith. IFI also sponsors an educational initiative working with parents, teachers and school board members, administrators, and others to create a God-honoring educational environment in Indiana.
