Last Saturday, Jan. 24’s final home game for the Noblesville girls basketball team went far from how they would have liked.

The visiting Flashes jumped out early on the host Millers and didn’t look back in a 56-28 win over Noblesville.

Franklin Central was dominant from the opening tip. They were up 7-0 when the Millers used its first timeout. By the midway point of the first, it was 12-0 and Noblesville was forced to burn their second timeout.

The lead increased to 16-0 before Maia Blower took a pass from C.C. Quigley, swishing a three from the right wing with 2:35 on the opening quarter clock.

Trailing 21-3 through one, the Millers kept it honest in the second. The Flashes took the second 8-7, giving them a 29-10 halftime advantage.

Unfortunately, the third mirrored the first and FC outscored the Millers 15-3, pushing their lead to 44-13.

Noblesville scored 15 to the Flashes’ 12 in the fourth, but that left them on the end of a loss to end the home portion of their schedule.

Quigley led Noblesville with 11 points and seven rebounds.

The Millers (8-10) visit Anderson (6-14) tonight, weather permitting.
