“Melt the Trail is one of our most beloved events of the year for a reason,” Mayor Scott Willis said. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to get outside, spend time with your community, and find your new favorite trail route.”

Runners, joggers, and walkers will kick off at Grand Junction Brewing, then head onto the course along Westfield’s award-winning trail system. After the race, participants are invited to attend the post-race celebration at the brewery. Children and leashed dogs are also welcome to join.

The race registration fee is $40 and includes a long-sleeve race shirt, finisher’s medal, post-race snacks, one free drink ticket (21 and over), a timed route, and the opportunity to win an age-group award. The registration fee will increase to $45 on Feb. 2 and to $50 on Feb. 16. Race day registration is also available on-site at Grand Junction Brewing from 9 to 10:15 a.m. To guarantee receiving a long-sleeve race shirt, participants must register by Feb. 3.

Early packet pick-up will be available at The Farmers Bank (17370 Farmers Bank Way) on from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 20. Participants may also pick-up their packets on race day at Grand Junction Brewing from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
