Fishers’ girls got an easy victory on Tuesday, breezing past Shortridge 53-23 at the Tiger Den.
The Tigers outscored the Blue Devils in each of the four quarters, leading 8-2 after the first period and 24-8 at halftime. Lillian Burns scored eight points during the first half, including a pair of 3-pointers in the second quarter.
Fishers kept things rolling in the third quarter, outscoring Shortridge 19-6 for a 43-14 advantage. Natalie Thomas added seven points in that quarter and finished with a game-high 13 points. Thomas scored at least one point in each quarter.
Burns added 10 points. Makayla Triplett scored nine and Ella Burleson contributed eight points.
Fishers is 9-8 for the season. The Tigers are idle until Jan. 16 when they host Brownsburg in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
