Vickie Jean Lynch

August 12, 1949 – December 25, 2025

Vickie Jean Lynch was born on August 12, 1949, in Indianapolis. She took her final breath on December 25, 2025. Vickie was a resident of the greater Cicero area for the major part of her life. Throughout her life, Vickie was a beacon of joy and laughter for all who knew her. Her empathetic nature and loving heart were cherished by those around her. Despite being divorced, Vickie remained a loyal individual, always holding onto her family and friends with steadfast dedication.

Vickie was employed as a School Bus Aide, a role she passionately filled as she loved to care for children. Her love for children was evident in the care and attention she extended to the kids on her bus. Vickie’s funny and lively spirit made her a favorite among the children she took care of. During her free time, Vickie treasured reading books and crocheting, but what mattered most to her was taking care of her family. Those moments she spent with her loved ones were her most cherished.

Vickie is survived by her son, Jody (Jocelyn) Lynch; her daughter, Stella (Mike) Harrison; her grandchildren, Mike and Carrie Harrison; her brothers, James Powers and Cody Powers; her sisters, Joy Lapoint, Bonnie Evans, and Lisa Murezec; and her great-grandson, Hunter Lee Allen. She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Powers; her father, James Powers; and her brother, George Powers. Vickie loved her step grandchildren as her own. Her legacy will live on in the memories and hearts of those who loved her.

Services will be under the direction of Hartley Funeral Homes – Cicero. We invite you to honor Vickie’s memory by sharing your stories, photos, and memories on her memorial page. It is through these shared experiences that we can truly celebrate the funny, empathetic, loving, and loyal person that Vickie was, and always will be, in our hearts.
