David Allen Linville, born on January 16, 1954, in Noblesville, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at the age of 71. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence will be greatly missed. Known for his funny, smart, loving, and thoughtful personality, David brought joy to all who knew him.

David married the love of his life, Elvira, on December 26, 2004, and they resided in Cicero. His career as a pipe fitter at Chrysler Transmission Plant in Kokomo, spanned many years, culminating in his retirement in 2015. During his time at Chrysler, David was recognized with many awards, reflecting his dedication and hard work. Before his employment at Chrysler, he owned and operated Linville Plumbing Heating and Cooling, a respected business in the Noblesville community.

David was a man of many interests. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed watching the History Channel, and loved working in his yard and around the house. His joy for life was evident in his love for riding his scooter and golf cart, and traveling with Elvira. David was never happier than when he was coaching his son, Zach, in sports during his youth or working on projects in the house with Elvira. He also had a soft spot for his pets, Cielo, Dulce, Alice, and Catita.

David was also a man of faith, his belief and trust in God being a guiding light throughout his life, especially in the final months as he planned to be baptized at the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church.

David is survived by his wife, Elvira; son, Zach and his wife Brandi; grandchildren, Noah, Emma, Mia, and Elijah; brothers Larry (Cathy) Linville and Don Linville; step-brothers, Gary Linville and Rick (Lisa) Linville; and sister, Barbara (Ed) Lacharite. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Clyde; siblings Betty Macharetti, William “Herbie” Linville, Paul Linville, Diana Linville, Alvin Linville, Shirley Burnell, Sandy Oliver, as well as his step-brothers Lee and Tommy Linville.
