Golden Eagles girls roll past Raiders

Guerin Catholic powered its way past Cardinal Ritter 65-28 Wednesday in a girls/boys doubleheader at the Raiders’ gym.

The Golden Eagles outscored Ritter in each of the four quarters, blitzing the Raiders 24-12 in the first period. Six different GC players scored, led by eight points from Lorigrace Rockwood.

Guerin Catholic led 35-9 at halftime, then pulled away even further in the third quarter for a 52-12 lead, instituting a running clock.

Ella Horvath led the Golden Eagles with 15 points, scoring in each quarter. Rockwood and Lauren Keller both had eight points.

Guerin Catholic is 4-2 and hosts Shortridge on Tuesday.
