Noblesville Schools Nutrition and Food Services has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) with four Healthy Meal Incentive recognition awards, honoring outstanding efforts to improve the nutritional quality of school meals, and engage students and families in nutrition education.
A select number of Indiana school districts were honored, with Noblesville Schools receiving the second-highest number of awards in the state.
Noblesville Schools’ four awards include:
- Innovation in Nutrition Education – for connecting classroom, cafeteria, and community learning around healthy eating.
- Innovation in the Preparation of School Meals – for introducing scratch-made recipes featuring local agricultural products and student input.
- Breakfast Trailblazer – for expanding nutritious breakfast options made from scratch with local ingredients.
- Lunch Trailblazer – for improving school lunch nutrition through sodium reduction and student engagement.
