Submitted by City of Carmel

Local arts organizations are invited to apply for a 2026 Arts Grant, a vital program that significantly contributes to the vibrancy, appeal and economic success of the Carmel community.

The grant application window is open how and closes Friday, Nov. 21.

The City Council has approved $1.36 million in funding for the 2026 grant cycle.

The application process will be conducted entirely online again this year and has been streamlined to include a new, dedicated submission form.

“There is no doubt that the culture of arts in our city has been a major benefit to our residents, visitors and small business owners,” Mayor Sue Finkam said. “Carmel is known nationally for our Arts & Design District and our Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts. By investing in our arts organizations, we encourage economic activity that supports small businesses and enhances our quality of life.”

Local arts groups are strongly encouraged to apply for funding. A requirement of receiving grant funds is that the applying group’s board chair and key leadership members will actively participate in fiscal sustainability sessions with Hamilton County Community Foundation.
