Zionsville Mayor John Stehr to present State of the Town address

The Zionsville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Town of Zionsville, will hold the annual State of the Town Address on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Indianapolis Executive Airport, 11329 E. State Road 32.

The program will feature remarks from Mayor John Stehr, highlighting recent accomplishments, ongoing projects, and the vision for Zionsville’s future.

Attendees will enjoy a light breakfast and networking from 8 to 8:30 a.m. The program, including the State of the Town address from Mayor John Stehr, starts at 8:30 a.m.

Zionsville Chamber Executive Director Mike Hanlon will welcome attendees and acknowledge the event’s sponsors before introducing Town Council President Jason Plunkett. Plunkett will provide opening remarks highlighting the town’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and addressing the impacts of SB1, setting the stage for the morning’s conversation on local governance.

“We’re proud to partner with the Town to host this meaningful event and invite residents and business leaders to be part of the conversation,” Hanlon said.

Doug Boles, President of IMS and a long-time Zionsville resident, will offer a community perspective, sharing his reflections on life in Zionsville and the town’s connectivity, including airport usage and its role in fostering economic growth. Following this, Mayor Stehr will deliver the State of the Town address, outlining his vision, recent achievements, and priorities for the future of Zionsville.

“The State of the Town is an opportunity to speak directly with our residents and partners about where Zionsville is headed,” Mayor Stehr said. “While there are challenges for all Indiana municipalities, I am confident in our ability to adapt, plan wisely, and continue strengthening the community we’re so proud to call home.”

The program will conclude with a moderated Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with town leadership. Additional announcements with regional partners will follow the address.

The State of the Town program is part of the 2025 Business Leadership Series generously sponsored by Church Church Hittle + Antrim.

The cost to attend is $15 per person, including admission and a light breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to register no later than Oct. 20. No refunds will be issued. Registration is available at ZionsvilleChamber.org.
