Sheridan First Christian Church invites the public to its annual Music Fest & Cruise-In from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6. The event promises an afternoon of live music, classic cars, food, family fun, and community spirit, all for a good cause.
Attendees can enjoy live musical performances throughout the afternoon while exploring a wide variety of vintage vehicles at the cruise-in. Refreshments will be available for purchase and a children’s play area will keep younger guests entertained. Visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite vehicle in the People’s Choice “Show & Shine” contest. The winning car will be announced during the event. In case of rain, activities will be moved inside the handicap-accessible church.
One of the highlights of the event is the raffle drawing for a hand-knitted, machine-washable blanket measuring 48 inches by 64 inches, made with Mary Maxim 100-percent acrylic yarn in a striking mix of black and white twist, black, red, and white. Raffle tickets are just $1 each, or six for $5, and can be purchased at the event.
All proceeds will go toward the church’s 2025 mission efforts. These efforts include supporting Hands of Hope Foster Family Support locally and Global Ministries internationally.
Sheridan First Christian Church has an ongoing collection of bras, cell phones, hearing aids, eyeglasses or shoes, which are distributed to charities supporting those in need. In the spirit of giving, attendees are encouraged to bring donations of these items if they are able.
For more information about the event or to purchase raffle tickets in advance, contact Sheridan First Christian Church at (317) 758-4569 or email sheridanchristian@att.net.
