Tracy Lynne Henry

December 5, 1966 – August 17, 2025

Tracy Lynne Henry, a beacon of resilience, humor, and style, was born on December 5, 1966, in Indianapolis to Jerry and Gerry (Bowser) Henry. She passed away on August 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and joy.

A proud 1985 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Tracy went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from Indiana University in Bloomington. Known for her impeccable style, she had a gift for creating outfits that reflected her bright spirit and zest for life. Tracy also found joy in gardening and was a devoted animal lover, with a special fondness for dogs of every kind.

She lived each day with energy and passion. A dedicated sports fan, Tracy rarely missed cheering on the Cincinnati Reds or her beloved IU Hoosiers basketball team. Music was another of her great loves, with artists such as James Taylor, Kenny Chesney, and The Doobie Brothers serving as the soundtrack to her days. Deeply compassionate, she actively supported the Multiple Sclerosis Society and contributed to breast cancer research fundraising – causes that reflected both her generosity and her own resilience in facing health challenges. Through it all, Tracy’s quick wit, kind heart, and infectious laughter brought comfort and joy to those who knew her.

Family and friendships were at the very center of her world. Tracy is survived by her brother, Gregg (Heidi) Henry; her sister, Jennifer (Kevin) Elliott; her nephew, Todd (Cassidy) Elliott; her nieces, Katie Pence and Allie (Josh) Boles; her great-nieces and nephew, Mila, Sodeska, and Graham; her aunts, Joyce, Donna, Phyllis, and Jackie; many cousins; and her best friend, Tyler Helbert. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jerry and Gerry Henry.

Visitation will be held at noon on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Hartley-Dunnichay Funeral Home, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the same location. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed at my.gather.app/remember/tracy-henry-2025.
