Noblesville Schools announced Wednesday the dedication of PorterHouse Contracting Field, home of Noblesville Millers Lacrosse, with a ribbon cutting and unveiling of new signage.
PorterHouse Contracting purchased the naming rights to the field located at 1804 N. 19th St., in a deal valued at $37,500 over five years.
The field was previously home to Millers Football before their move to the new Beaver Stadium in 2022. It had been known formerly as Beaver Materials Field, and prior to that as Hare Chevrolet Field.
“As the proud owners of PorterHouse Contracting and lifelong members of the Noblesville community, it is a tremendous honor to see our name associated with the Noblesville Millers through the renaming of PorterHouse Field,” James Porter said. “This partnership is more than just a name – it’s a reflection of our deep gratitude for the opportunities this community has given us. Noblesville has shaped who we are, both as a company and as neighbors, friends, and family. Supporting our schools and students is one way we can give back and help build a strong future for the next generation of Millers. We are thankful to be part of something bigger than ourselves and proud to invest in the community that continues to support us. Go Millers!”
In addition to lacrosse, the field is used by Noblesville High School soccer, cross country, and band programs, as well as serving as a popular rental space for outside organizations.
“We’re thankful to the Porters for their partnership and commitment to Noblesville Schools,” added Marnie Cooke, Noblesville Schools executive director of marketing and communications. “These dollars provide a meaningful impact in support of our students and their academic and athletic opportunities.”
