Marilyn’s Place Inc. (MPI), 9810 E. 206th St., Noblesville, is a 501(c)(3) public charity, serving all of Hamilton County and surrounding areas. Our mission and purpose are to provide free clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, small household goods, and other donated items for individuals, families, and military veterans in need of assistance.
Our goal is to support and affirm the dignity and self-esteem of all our clients. By utilizing voucher points, and a patron-choice model shopping experience in a pantry setting, MPI provides a freedom of choice for our clients. In this way, we strive to lessen or even alleviate any stigma associated with seeking aid.
The basic community need addressed by MPI is one of economic insecurity. Many individuals, families, single parents, military veterans, and others face any number of difficulties, including homelessness, unemployment or underemployment, PTSD, and other challenges. By providing free non-food commodities, we can help lessen these burdens. Helping those in need obtain adequate clothing and other goods. This allows our patrons to use much-needed funds for other necessities, such as housing, medical needs, transportation, and food – to name but a few.
MPI serves all of Hamilton County and surrounding areas. We do not require any form of formal ID or proof of income. We prefer to trust in our community. It is already difficult enough for a person or family to seek assistance without needing to proffer a lot of paperwork. We will never turn anyone away who comes to us for help, regardless of where they may reside or other circumstances.
We hope to reach out to all of our military veterans and families. Marilyn’s Place partners with several military-facing resources and have attended many Veteran Resource Fairs. We look forward to helping all of you who may be in need of assistance with quality-of-life necessities, such as clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other goods.
