The Tipton Public Arts Commission will welcome a teaching artist in residence this summer. Beginning in June, Landon Caldwell, an artist and composer based in Indianapolis, will lead a series of workshops and performances which will span the following 10 weeks.

The residency will feature a full schedule of public events, including storytelling, a sound walk, animating a ‘quilt,’ creating collaborative music, and more. Caldwell will also lead workshops for the Boys and Girls Club teen summer program and special events with the Encore Lifestyle & Enrichment Center community. These public events will be held at the Tipton County Public Library.

The series will end with the premiere of an artful short film, composed of work and inspired by themes the community discovers together throughout the residency program.
