On Father’s Day weekend, the inaugural Noblesville Gem Mineral Jewelry and More show came to the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville. From gemstones to jewelry and fossils to Dean Caldwell’s impressive Mexican opal, there was something for every geology lover to marvel at Mother Nature’s treasurers. According to Event Organizer Kris Kailholz, 122 people attended on Friday, 254 on Saturday, and 170 on Sunday – and those were unique attendees.

A friend and I attended the Gem show on Friday. We both enjoyed ourselves. I hope that this will be an annual event for Noblesville. The silent auction was fun too.
