The Fishers softball team won at Brownsburg 9-4 on Wednesday in its final Hoosier Crossroads Conference game of the season.
The Tigers scored right away, as Kate Murray singled in Azstryd Alexander to score in the top of the first inning. Fishers went up 3-0 in the third inning: Hailey Kinder led off with a single, then Kendall Jordan sent a home run over the center field fence.
The Bulldogs scored a run in the bottom of the third inning. The Tigers struck back in the fifth, as Frankie Jackson blasted a three-run homer, also scoring Olivia McNall and Rylee Bast.
Fishers added four more runs in the sixth inning. Jordan doubled Kinder home, then Adrianne Cook smacked a home run into center field, which also sent Jordan in to score. Brownsburg scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth, but the Tigers held on for the win.
Cook and Murray both went 3-for-4 at the plate, with Jordan getting two hits. Murray pitched a complete game, tossing nine strikeouts.
Fishers finished HCC play 1-6 and is 14-10 overall. The Tigers continue regular-season play today by hosting Anderson at 5:30 p.m.
