Severe storms could impact this evening’s VIPP event
Severe storms are expected to affect portions of Indiana this afternoon and this evening. Areas could see high wind gusts and damaging hail, and isolated tornadoes.
Duke Energy crews are prepared to respond to any power outages, and customers should prepare as well.
Follow these helpful steps to be ready:
Prepare in advance
Visit the Storm Center for tips on how to remain safe during all phases of a storm. As with any significant storm event, it’s important to consider alternative arrangements for the elderly and those with special medical needs should outages occur.

Receive the most up-to-date information about restoration efforts by enrolling in Outage Alerts. Already signed up? Make sure your contact info is up to date and add others who need to stay informed during the power restoration process.
Know how to report an outage
If you lose power, text OUT to 57801, report online or call 1-800-343-3525. You can also report through the Duke Energy app. To download, text MOBILE to 57802.
